This Privacy Policy explains how Snortfolio (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application for tracking family allowances.
When you use Snortfolio, you may provide information such as:
All values that are visible within the app’s user interface (such as names, balances, and transactions) are stored in our database in plaintext.
When the App communicates with our server, we log requests and may store these logs for a reasonable period of time for debugging and operational purposes. These logs may include:
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties, and we will not do so in the future.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we process your information because it is necessary to provide the service you have requested and to maintain and improve that service.
We do not sell your data and do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.
We may use third-party infrastructure providers (for example, hosting providers) to run our servers and store data. These providers act on our behalf and follow our instructions. They are only allowed to use your data as necessary to provide these infrastructure services to us.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests (such as a court order), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt data in transit between the Snortfolio app and our servers.
All values visible in the app (including names, balances, and transactions) are stored in our database in plaintext. This means that if someone obtained unauthorized access to the database itself, they could read those values. We take reasonable steps to secure our systems and restrict access, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We are committed to using your data only for legitimate, non-nefarious purposes related to providing and improving Snortfolio.
We retain your allowance data for as long as it is needed to provide the service to you or as otherwise required by law.
Server logs are kept for a reasonable amount of time to assist with debugging, maintain security, and operate the service. After that, they may be deleted or aggregated and anonymized.
Snortfolio is designed for family use, and data about children (such as their names and allowance balances) may be entered by a parent or guardian. By using the App, you confirm that you have the right to provide this information and to manage it on behalf of the children in your family.
We do not display ads and do not sell data about children or any other users.
Within the App, you can edit or delete many values (such as names and allowance data) yourself. If you uninstall the App from your device, local data stored on that device may be removed, but data stored on our servers may remain as part of your account or as part of server backups and logs for a time.
If you have questions about your data, or if you want to request deletion of server-side data associated with your account, you can contact us using the information below.
Depending on where you are located and where our servers are hosted, your data may be stored or processed in a country different from your own. By using Snortfolio, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or other reasonable means.
Your continued use of Snortfolio after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
